to stop sqeeking hold the clarinet out a little that will reduce your sqeeking

I'm curious, how does holding your clarinet out will reduce squeeking? here's some things i can think of: your embouchure can be too tight, or not tight enough. you can be taking in too much mouthpiece, or too little. you can have an old reed that needs changing, or you have a new reed that hasn't been broken in yet.

Just to say this... holding the clarinet out farther will actually increase projection, which will help on those fortes, but it actually deteriorates tone... just to let you guys out there know that.
