Hey, I play the bassoon and I signed up for All-county band, well when i saw the music I saw that the range went 4 bar lines up, and all the fingering charts I looked at only go as far as 3 bar lines up......

I presume when you say bar lines, you mean ledger lines, the short lines that the notes sit on when they are above the stave.
Are you talking about the bass clef or the alto clef? The chart here are WFG (http://www.wfg.sneezy.org/) goes up to E4. This is three ledger lines above the Alto clef stave, but five ledger lines above the Bass clef stave.

Actually it's a tenor clef(alto clef sits lower on the staff)...and if you've only been playing for a little while, you shouldn't be trying to go too high yet, but instead work on your lower ranges and getting a good stable tone, and then when you do start going into the upper range it'll be so much easier and sound a lot better (trust me, I had to do the same thing). For now, either transpose the notes down an ocatve or even two, or if it sounds silly, just leave the notes out...the highest I'd go is an F, two leger lines above the staff in bass clef, but even that's pushing it. Good luck, and practice hard!
