A beginner needs to be well aware of the fundamentals and nitty-gritty of playing the flute. The first and foremost is to adopt an embourchure and to develop and render techniques of regulating breath, and air. Under air comes the air speed, air intensity. And under breath, tone is perhaps the most important aspect. Tone is a reflection of the mastery over air, thus a good tone coincides with good control of air. Of course, there are other ares which contributes to good tone.
The possibilities of improvement is far beyond one's boundaries. A good musician searches relentlessly for excellence.
Therefore as a beginner, you should embark on a journey towards excellences in playing the flute, do not be intimidated by obstacles which you encounter.
Remember practice is a repetition of accurary. All it takes to improve is patience, quality time, determination and passion.
