I bought a Conn Directors alto sax without a case that was in excellent shape in order to see if I could remember how to play sax. I am primarily a clarinet player, but played a little tenor in college. I didn't know that the key placement on the bell was different from modern day saxs (on the inside instead of the outside). I've looked at a few inexpensive cases, but none fit without trying to remake the case. I've seen a Gator alto sax case on the internet, but haven't been able to find one locally to try. Does anyone know if this case will work with the "Shooting Stars" Conn model? Or know if another case will work? I don't want to spend very much. If I decide I like playing the alto I will save my pennies and trade this in on a better sax in a few months, so I'm budgeting 100.00 or less for the case. Any ideas?
Thanks

If you don't get any answers here, there are guys on the Sax On The Web (SOTW) that live for these kind of questions. :o)

I wish that I knew how to configure my email program (Microsoft Entourage to read the old newsgroups again. I had that capability with the old, cheap version (outlook), but the two times I tried it with Entourage didn't work...

Terry I use Windows Live Mail and read the Newsgroups daily. Google also has a very nice newsgroup reader that is browser based.

All of that functionality is supposed to be in Entourage, but whenever I try to make the setup arrangements, it all seems to lead to a dead end.
Part of the problem may stem from my being on a Macintosh and using a program (Entourage]/i], from Microsoft) that seems to be just different enough to keep cross-platform folks from comprehending it.
It's a shame really, since I don't see a number of people on your (and other's) websites yet who were regulars on the "newsgroups". In saxophone terms, I'm thinking primarily of Paul Cohen and that Lindemeyer fellow.
