Date and Model of a LeBlanc Bass Clarinet
Author: shanewp

I just bought an used LeBlanc (Paris) Bass clarinet (#12315). I phoned LeBlanc and they said that the records for those serial numbers had been destroyed in a fire and they could not provide any information. Is there anyone that can help me with the model and the year it was manufactured. Thank you in advance
Shane

My Leblanc bass' serial number is 4009; somehow, somewhere, I was able to determine that it was made in the late 1950s.

Hope that helps you.

12315 would put it about 1976

4009 - late 1950s sound about right per the above.
