 Me and My Girl doublings

Has anybody ever played the show "Me and My Girl"? I'm trying to get an idea how many reed parts there are and what each doubles on. Probably the revised version done on Broadway in the 80s, not quite certain yet. I've tried that awesome link somebody posted earlier to a site that lists the doubling for practically every show, but this one is not on it.

Any help is appreciated!

John

The best I can come up with is this:

http://www.dur.ac.uk/DST/document.php?DocumentID=271&show=120
This appears to be a student production, with six musicians covering four "reed" parts. No clues as to instrumentation.

http://www.theatreroyal.com/rehersal_entry.php?id=14
Mentions a "three lady reed section."

http://www.selmer.com/phpBB/clarinet/viewtopic.php?t=1070&view=previous&sid=019ef78ef55829425113c41ca28f0484
Someone here mentions the second reed part using flute, clarinet, and tenor.

If anyone can provide better info, I will gladly add it to my site and give you credit:

Best,
Bret

Hi Bret,

Those links are great, you sniffed out some that I had not yet found. I'll let you know if I find anything out so you can add it to your website.

Thanks!
John

I did the show and played the Reed 2 book, which was alto, clarinet, flute, and piccolo. Hope that helps.

N.B.: One odd thing I recall about this set of books was that the my Reed 2 book contained the lead alto part! Strange.
