Major Mis-match!

Author: Heliman  Date:   2004-10-01 00:18 What do you get when you combine one of the World's best oboes, a Loree Royal, with one of the World's worst players? Answer: My first oboe lesson! My oboe is still two weeks away from being repadded but I went today for my first lesson anyway. I was hoping my teacher would give me a few pointers on what exercises I could do until my oboe was ready. Anyway, I had ordered a bunch of reeds from her and she let me "TRY" to play her oboe in order to fine-tune the reeds. It was really cool! I just wish I had enough skill and knowledge to appreciate what a fine instrument it is. Maybe someday!
