Hi Bboarders!
My shaper handle died of old age yesterday. Does anyone know of an oboe supply place in the Düsseldorf/Köln/Essen (Germany) area? I'm currently on tour and in Düsseldorf until jan 6th or 11th. I have 6-8 shows a week and don't have enough tied reeds to last until then (I was planning on shaping/tying some yesterday, but my handle kinda let me down...).
Mail ordering is kind of risky, as I'm not sure It would get here on time, and I'll need to shape soon. If anyone knows a nice friendly player in the area (someone who could lend or rent me a handle for a few hours), please, please let me know! (I'll be back in my hometown for 10 days in mid- january, but I can't afford to wait until then to buy a new shaper).
Yes, I am THAT desperate.
Thank you so much!
O.

I have contacted Udo Heng, who says he can provide you with a new handle with a reliable overnight service.
His email address is udoheng at reedsnstuff.de (replace the "at" with the strudel symbol).
Is overnight fast enough? :-)
