Oboe line that really isn't talked much about

or maybe I am wrong, but the oboe line in Barber's Summer Music is so beautiful. I feel like it's in the perfect key and right register to display the melancholy side of the oboe. I love to play it slow for a warm up (especially for intervals) and to relax me before a rehearsal. It's just so nice to play and to listen to!

Has anyone else thought this or am I just weird?
