i peformed the piece last sunday night at the local music festival.
the judge was Geoffrey Pratley*
(Geoffrey Pratley is one of Britain 's best-known accompanists and duo-pianists. For well over 20 years he was a regular recital partner in Britain and in many foreign countries to Dame Janet Baker, the French ‘cellist Paul Tortelier and the British violinist Ralph Holmes, as well as a host of other world famous soloists such as Domingo, Steich, Brymer, Milanova, Goossens etc.)
I had the privelege to have a chat with Mr. Pratley and i was stunned to have heard from him that he has actually worked with the late Leon Goosens. He told me that they were performing a sonatine (i forgot which!)
and Mr. Goosens although suffering from the accident and old age managed to get the high G beautifully without fault.
Any prospects on this?
