I had a great time in the Howarth shop in London. I tried on 3 Cor Anglais, and decided to purchase one of them, which is a S5 Cor Anglais in cocobolo wood. I liked the sound it produces, and most importantly, I feel comfortable with it.
I was also offered to try on three other oboes, 2 XLs and a new S6 oboe. The S6 oboe is a professional model, less in weight. Bought some sheet music and reed making stuff as well...costs me really a fortune because of the high exchange rate for GBP hahaha. Anyway, it was really a great time...really friendly and helpful staff!
