Sometimes on the Fox oboes, the top of the C# tonehole is a bit rough or sharp and makes a cutting indent in the pad (much more than the normal seat of the pad) which makes the key stick. The pad can be easily sanded down or replaced.

I also see the end of the flat spring getting hung up on the body of the oboe. Sometimes a drop of oil on the spring helps out. Or taking off the key and cleaning the residue form the oboe and spring too.

This repair should really be minimal in cost and time - you have a good quality instrument. Perhaps you can call the repair guy for an appointment and ask him to expedite your repair

There can be lots of different reasons for the sticking C#. Let us know what the verdict on the stuck key is please..... I am always interested in learning more.
