Have I got Rubank? Honey, I've got ALLLLL the Rubank. [grin]

The spring I started oboe there were folks selling oboe method books on the Online Auction Site in job lots; I scooped up all the ones I could reach, at fire sale prices. So I've got a stack yea-high.

I'm not a hotshot yet at the third octave, but it's nice to be able to play complete scales and arpeggios in Bb, E, Eb, F, Ab, and A without having to go "ahem" with a tiny pause and then jump down to the lower octave, causing feelings of inadequacy and much agonizing self-examination, "Now, am I going to be serious about this, or am I going to be just a dilettante? 'Cause if you're gonna be serious about this, you're gonna have to figure out those fingerings..."

And then imagine my dismay the other day to glance at the Fox fingering chart once again--and notice that it actually goes up to an F#. [eek]
