my Loree oboe is BO, which means it was made in 1964. I'm now playing a Covey, but my Loree was a great buy for me at the time. I think a Loree of this vintage is selling for $2000 to $2500 at a variety of oboe dealers. I liked my Loree a lot, and frankly would rather own an old (well-maintained) Loree than a new, comparably-priced oboe like a Fox or Buffet. Nothing against them, but I've played both, and even old Lorees still got it in my opinion.
