There is no standard for 'major' orchestras! We're in a fortunate situation that there's a load of great oboes being made out there. To name a few superstar players, you can see that there's a wide variation in the oboes they play -

Howarth - G Hunt / D Theodore [etc etc etc etc ]
Marigaux - I Goritzki / David Walter / Francois Leleux...
Buffet - A Meyer / JL Capezelli
Rigoutat - Holliger / Bourgue
Fossati - M Benet / D Walter

Variety really is the spice of life. And you can bet your bottom dollar that any pro player will make a good oboe sing - regardless of the make - once they have got the reed settings sorted out for that instrument, and have learnt its foibles.

Of a more provocative nature - to what extent do oboe manufacturers depend on having 'star' names associated with their brand? Or, is the association with Tabuteau still as important for Loree as [relatively speaking] Tiger Woods is for Nike? And nobody's suggesting that Nike make the best golf clubs, bar none...
