I am just learning the Baroque oboe.

I am hoping to either play for my own pleasure or to play with other Baroque musicians locally.

There are many in fact in the San Francisco Bay Area.

They play period instruments pitched at A415.

There is a wonderful Baroque Music and Dance Workshop, June 17 - 23, 2007 at Sonoma State University that I hope to attend.
"The Crossroads of the Baroque: Dresden, Prague & Vienna"

I attended one several years ago and it was amazing to hear the talent assembled there.
