 Monnig oboe d'amore

I have an opportunity to buy a Monnig oboe d'amore, but I have not yet had the opportunity to try it. I know very little about this marque. Does anyone have experience with these instruments?

My current oboe arsenal includes two Kreul oboes and two Kreul English horns, as well as an exceptional new Loree Royal oboe. Does anyone have any hints about how a Monnig instrument would typically compare in overall quality and tonal quality to my current instruments?

As an aside, my impression is that oboe d'amore accoustics and quality are nowhere nearly as advanced or predictable as those for oboe and EH, although a friend of mine recently bought an exceptionally good Kreul d'amore (he's just lucky he found it before I did!).

Thanks in advance for any comments. Cheers!
