This is a video by Blair Tindall of "Mozart In The Jungle" fame.
We've become email buddies and share strong interests in having music schools also provide marketable skills in the educational mix.
I was actually booed during a faculty conference when I sugested doing this back in the 1980s... but amongst the many liberal arts classes, chemistry lab, general college math we required, I still think it would be great to have music grads end up with computer programming skills or accounting credentials as a minor study concentration.
Beats the heck out of flipping burgers...
And just think of the mind easing benefits for parents paying the bills for the talented students going for performance degrees. College marketing departments really should get a clue and "we are teaching you to be well rounded, not to make a living" , or "there is always teaching" is a badly misguided notion.
