 Re: F# scale fingerings

This are the fingerings i use:

C#= oxx|xoo C key (works for my instrument)
D#= oxx|ooo B key + 3rd octave key (half hole is also fine with me)
E#= oxo|ooo right hand G# key + half hole + 3rd octave key
F#= xoo|ooo right hand G# key + 3rd octave key

Altissimo fingerings can be very frustrating in terms of intonation so it depends whether you are playing really fast passages of not. Experiment with closing or opening the right hand keys (forgot the term for it, the C, C#, D# keys) to see if it helps in sound and intonation. Altissimo fingerings are usually very different amongst different instruments. The fingering chart at www.woodwind.org (the forum's host as a matter a fact) as mentioned a million times is very comprehensive, do try it out!

AND PRACTISE SLOWLY! (unfortunately there are not such short cuts in life)

Howard
