 More playing Howarth

Hello all,
After returning from the Midwest International Band and Orchestra clinic this past week in Chicago, I was enamored (once again) by the Howarth oboes and English horns.

I talked at length with I believe Nigel....and he informed me that several well known oboists in major orchestras are now playing Howarth oboes -- either Cocabola or Grenadilla. I played both at the convention, as I did at IDRS in Muncie, and they are marvelous horns. These would be the XL's that I played. I also tried a couple S5's and they are great as well.

The EH's were no match as well.....Fantastic response and deep resonant tone. Amazing horns all around!

I wish I had the money to purchase a XL Cocabola oboe and EH to match!

:-)
Shawn
