I went shopping for some Quartetto Gelato CDs and I noticed a couple of groups I never heard of before I thought I would share since they are good: Imani Winds and Netherlands Wind Ensemble.
Imani Winds
The Imani Winds album I picked up is "Classical Underground" which are classical works by modern composers with african/latin/spiritual undertones. Nice stuff.
Soundtrack samples are on Amazon:

Netherlands Wind Ensemble
The Netherlands Wind Ensemble album I picked up was a "Greatest Hits" album with a retro styling that made me think it was old, but it is a modern collection of recordings of the group made in the 60s and 70s (classical recordings mind you), but the recordings are good quality.
Looks like there were multiple oboists in those time periods ranging from: Werner Herbers, Carlo Ravelli, and Hans de Vries
(did I bold? <g>)
Soundtrack samples are on CD Universe:

(On CDuniverse - If you look at the "note" links carefully you can see what CD and track numbers they are)
I found these CDs at a Borders of all places (by luck as these were just scattered about).
Regards,
Stephen
