 Jende Knives/Sharpening system

Has anyone had experience with the Jende reed system?

I spoke with many people at IDRS 2006 who had positive and negative things to say about the knives and system. I for one, feel that over 100 USD is a little too much to spend on one knife, not to mention all of the equipment recommended to keep the knife at peak.

Just curious if anyone else has had any thoughts and experiences with them.
