I used to be a conservatory student, but have since switched majors to something more...emotionally feasible and economically sound. So now I teach lessons twice a week, and play in a community orchestra with one rehearsal a week.
This is a far cry from the four hour daily practice sessions I used to do!
I used to be a performer/teacher at an intensive summer music camp in Michigan and I remember blowing into the oboe for at least six hours every day. That was my very best playing ever!
