Actually, Alex Klein is no longer at Northwestern University, dating from around the time he resigned his principal oboe position in the Chicago Symphony in 2004.
At the IDRS 2006 conference last month it was announced that he would be teaching at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music beginning this fall, replacing James Caldwell (his former teacher there, who passed away earlier this year).
