Hey Oboeshark,
New Mexico eh? Nice! Good to see there's oboe players all over...Laurier is a university in Southern Ontario, Canada. It sounds like quite a good warmup that you have going there...I usually do the first thing that you do (the chromatic pattern) and also, I forget to mention that I also use the tuner (so I don't disgrace myself :D). I'm interested in your idea of practicing the vibrato with the metronome...do you find that helps? What do you find it does for you? It's in interesting idea.
