Hello
My low d, without half whole, is very stuffy and is sometimes overblowing to the d up the octave. Any ideas as to what the problem maybe. I believe that it is the lower joint but as to what specificly I have no idea! All of the repair shops are closed for vacation and im going away tommorow.
Thx!
Noah

There are too many factors that could stop the low notes working, I wouldn't like to suggest anything without seeing the oboe as that's the only sure way of making any diagnosis, so it's best left to a repairer - preferrably an oboe specialist as they will know what to look for.
I've seen too many oboes badly adjusted by general repairers as they don't know what they're doing.
