We get along because we have much in common; we are all Non-Laurier people. At first learning oboe we were at a disadvantage. It took us all an extra week to learn to assemble the oboe; it would have taken less time if the instrument was only one piece. Another disadvantage was that many of us put the reed on the instrument upside down(yes a reed can go upside down---the reed becomes bent slightly after you play it once usually).
When the oboe group gets together either in person or on the internet, we tend to tell bassoon jokes--- something you fagotto ask.
