You also should seriously consider the Fox 555 English horn. It's plastic, so it won't crack, and it sounds absolutely fantastic for what you pay for it. I am a professional English horn player, and I use the 555 as a backup, and anytime I need to play outdoors. Nobody has ever noticed a difference...well worth giving a try. Check Midwest Musical Imports...they always have them in stock.
