I only realised they're a US long W scrape instead of the European short U scrape, so that would most likely account for them being on the flat side with the long length of scrape extending towards the base of the blades.
Their prototype oboe reeds also played flat up top, but that was addressed by the time the run of production ones hit the shelves by shortening the length of the staple end and possibly altering the shape of the staple section at the narrow end.
It'll only be a matter of time when Silverstein develop and release their cor reeds.
