I still check this board every few days as it was extremely valuable to me when I first started oboe. Social media is hard to follow for sure.... I don't even follow the modern oboe pages, but the smaller historical instrument ones can be useful. The oboe subreddit has some good stuff although I don't actively follow it. I didn't want to mention it previously, but we do have a large Double Reed Discord server which is carefully moderated by professional oboists and bassoonists. There's a lot of good advice and help provided on it, although being a large community populated by a lot of younger musicians, it's intermixed with a lot of chit-chat and grade school/uni-type discussions. It's been very valuable for my own musical growth. So, while following daily all the conversations may be overwhelming or undesirable, if you have a genuine question which you can't find an answer to elsewhere, I would certainly recommend posting your query there. Full disclosure: I am one of the moderators.
