Bach's oratarios, cantatas, and symphonias contain some of the most beautiful oboe solos ever, and it's really enjoyable playing them, i got this book edited by Evelyn Rothwell containing various solos from Bach's works, and it is quite complete. Very recommendable. And Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hansel and Gretel also has some of the most beautiful solos i've ever heard, one recording is by Vienna Philharmonic conducted by George Solti.
