I know how you feel... that's why I buy an inexpensive purple reeds from Nielsen's and supplant with various handmade reeds.

I recently got a few of Kathyrn Fields DiCola reeds and they are another nice handmade reed maker to add to my list (VERY nice, actually). They even fit my ancient Loree, but quite a tight fit for my Platz.

There are a couple videos on reed making, if that helps any. RDG would probably be able to order either of these videos for you if prefer them. They've ordered a flute peg for me... lol.
