Oboists!
I'm looking to get in contact with any of John Ellis's students from NC School of the Arts or California State University Northridge. I'm most interested in his reed style, if you're still using it, and/or what changes you might have made to make it work for you.
I'd also be really interested in talking to students of Norman Benno, since he was John Ellis's teacher.
This is all for a dissertation on John's reeds, and since he has passed I'm expanding my sources.
