As I mentioned in my other post, I went through and adjusted my oboe using Brian Season's instructions, including leaving some adjustments under or over regulated as recommended. Brian's key nomenclature drives me nuts. I am used too referring to keys by the none you get when you depress them.
I also have adjustment instructions in Regards Thorp's woodwind book. I get along better with his names.
Also, I've seen videos where the keys are adjusted until tapping on the regulated key stops producing an audible click. This method seems pretty fast and accurate, but doesn't result in intentionally over or under regulated keys.
So, what are your favorite adjustment methods and recomendations?
