Re: Difference between Marigaux and SML?

SML stands for Strasser, Marigaux and Lemaire.

Any instrument carrying the circular SML logo and having Marigaux and Paris below that (and Marigaux engraved on the other joints) is a pro model, those carrying the logo and Strasser (and Paris) are student level instruments.

Marigaux abandoned the SML logo fairly recently, so their instruments will only say Marigaux or Strasser on them.

I bought my Marigaux 930 cor anglais back in 1998 and that has the SML logo on the bell. More recent ones only have Marigaux Paris on them without the SML logo.

The opinions I express are my own.
