I am in need of some help finding out an instrument that I have recently inherited. It is a Trombone, the engraved name on the bell is "Chauvet". I understand that they made Oboes, but I have not been able to find out anything on them making trombones. I took it to a large music center, the gentlemen I spoke with has been playing trombones for over 50 years and has never seen anything like this trombone. He did indicate that he believe it was made in the late 1800's/early 1900's.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me.

Thank you
