The screw on the C touchpiece arm on most cors is there to adjust the closure the forked F vent when playing in the altissimo register (when holding the low C key closed), so adjust this screw and check the closure of both the C key pad and the F vent pad so both close together.

On Howarth XL cors (and maybe some others), there are two screws right next to each other on the C touchpiece arm - the uppermost one (nearest the RH3 split plate) is the one that adjusts the closure of the RH2 fingerplate.
