I was very impressed with the le Tombeau player, who had a really beautiful sound and excellent technique. Mayer heard the little, musical problems and helped him with well, articulated points. Regarding the La Scala player, her vibrato is so irregular, that she most likely needs a lot of help with breathing and support, and therefore really shouldn't have been playing for him. Also, I've noticed that a lot of players tend to play the three 8th notes, la-si-do, after all the fast stuff, a little under tempo and in the La Scala, after the run up to the si (b) and then down to the three sets of one 8th and 2 - 16th's ( do, so-so, me, do-do, so, me-me, there is also a tendency to play the 8th's, too long. I know, I've done it, too. Regards
