Hi,
I am writing to share an observation.
Recently, I ordered two pieces of music: a trio and a methods book.
It is obvious that both works are in house productions from a computer file.
The original pages are reduced in size and scanned at no more that 600 dpi.
The result is an inferior product.
When I complained about the trio (I had a library copy that was 40 yeas old and printed on superior paper etc............. they confirmed that it was an in house publications at 600 dpi ... and that 1200 dpi was too expensive.
My old decrepit methods book is superior to the new publication with its reduced score size and light paper and printing.
Is this the wave of the future!
From my vantage point - it not worth the paper its printed on!
