I just have to share this...
Trying to assist one of our own on bboard find a good instrument for her son, I had the chance for a long talk with heckelmaniac (Peter Hurd) yesterday about his top choices for her.
In 44 years of oboe playing I have never had a single chat as chock full of the true passion for oboe and oboe wisdom as what Peter brought to the discussion.
It was amazing.
I now know what a true connoisseur of oboe sounds like talking about oboes.
It really pays to get outside the box in most things and hitting oboe topics from all sides is a good example to prove that point.
