Dear oboeobo,
All of the B and C series Loree oboes I have were overhauled by either
Jason Onks, Michele Forrest, Edward DeVaney, or David Weber.
All three accomplish impeccable, meticulous work. Oboes coming back from
Jason Onks looking and feeling nearly as new.
The difficulty for my business is keeping overhauled B and C series (and late A, very early D series) Loree oboes in stock. The demand for the "classic" Loree oboes is "off the charts," even in the present (dismal) economy.
And the demand for servicing/overhaul of oboes and English horns is also "off the charts." Nowadays it can take many months, even up to a year+ at times, to have an instrument overhauled by one of the top oboe repair specialists.
With very best wishes,
Peter Hurd
