Dan's stuff is no nonsense; ready to go out of the box. What is really cool is that when the gouger blade goes dull, you can ship the machine back to him & in two to three weeks you have it back all ready to go for another few years of gouging. The attached guillotine back clips the ends of the cane, so there is no need to trim the ends as so many seem to do for other gougers. Adjustment is a piece of cake also; only three screws & Dan even includes hex screwdrivers to do that, along with a foam-lined "coffin" & a brush to sweep away cane shavings. It's the complete package.
