There's a fantastic music store (mostly classical sheet music) right next to the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on Van Baelerstraat (if my memory serves me right). As you probably know, both cities have some of the best orchestras, so it could be fun and interresting to go and see/hear them. Amsterdam also has an amazing baroque music scene!
And for non-musical activities:
If you like biking, both cities offer guided bike tours for small groups.
Berlin has nice "beach clubs" which are big sand pits along the Spree where you can just go and chill with friends, play beach volleyball, have a drink or hang aroud a campfire at night. I know, it souds kind of weird, but it's actually an interresting way to meet new people.
I could go on and on and on about both cities, I have lived and worked in both and absolutely loved them! Basically, the best way to see and discover both Amsterdam and Belin is to find a cheap bicycle and use it to get around town.
Have a safe and fun trip!
