This new piece is by a friend from my conservatory days.
Originally for flute and harp, I did an oboe version with synth harp and bass and improvised hand percussion.
My friend Lyle shares his music freely with the world, and I offered to make a recording in 2 parts, with the first one as a performance and part two as the same recording minus oboe, so you can play along if you like.

Play-along link:

Enjoy,...this is harder than you will think by seeing the score.
The score will sync to page turns as the piece progresses on the play-along link version.
Scores are also available via Lyle's web-ste:

I have also provided an mp3 file of the accompaniment version to Lyle for distribution via his site.

I always love this stuff you put up. Great tone and super job on those 2nd 8ve twiddles!
One would certainly be interested in obtaining the MIDI files, now woudn't one?
But seriously, this is what I call contemporary music!

Actually, I really like your video posts for another reason:
it shows that when you give advice on breathing etc., you actually do know what you're talking about!
I wonder if people are shy to post themselves? That would be a shame as - I hope - no one is "out to get" anyone else and we have already been very helpful to one another.
Keep posting Craig, I sure get lots of enjoyment and benefit out of it!

Thanks Robin,
I enjoy the threads out here quite a lot myself. The first few video posts I did while learning iMovie are intended to have a real purpose for doing them beyond my learning curve.
They use a variety of sound sources and some definitely sound better. Pro Tools is best so far, and the ones I recorded on iMac the weakest.
What I really like is to demo what I think about when I play, embouchure, breath, etc. And I really enjoy getting a close up of others doing that , too.
Keep on playing and posting.... good stuff!
