 Improving forked F
Author: alanporter

I am an amateur senior citizen clarinet player and I have picked up a cheap student grade oboe just to amuse myself with. It is a Selmer 1492, I believe, with no left hand F key. The forked F note is in pitch but it sounds very dull. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to improve the sound of this note ? Many thanks for any help.
