IF the Prestini oboe is FULL Conservatory system (to wit: having left F,
F resonance, split ring D, low articulated C#, Ab-Bb trill), no cracks whatsoever, no wear to the silver, is in absolutely first class condition (i.e., overhauled by a
master oboe repair specialist), has all cork pads throughout, and plays well,
it could have a retail value of between $2200-2600.
Prestini made excellent professional oboes, on a par with the
Jarde' oboes, Chauvet AC series oboes. I used a Prestini for about six months
"between oboes" before receiving my first new Hiniker oboe a few years back.
I was pleased with the sound, scale, mechanism, and feel of the Prestini.
