If you are in the market for a new oboe deffinitely don't pass up the fox professional models! I just recently purchased the model 450(plastic top joint model) and am extremely pleased with my purchase. The tone is extrordinarily beautiful, much like my teacher's Loree, in which I don't notice much difference (if any!) between the two. And, for being about $1500 less than the Loree, I would say it's an excellent deal!
