While there are plenty of sonatas out there, I love the quintet repertoire most of all. Le cheminee du roi Rene by Darius millhaud is a favorite, and the taffanel gets 2 thumbs up as well. The francaix is a real challenge and the hindemith is superb. There are quintet arrangements of Mozart Beethoven and Bach and loads more if you know where to look. The IDRS website has dozens of the more obscure quintets as well for free download.
Unless you are part of a music faculty, finding and maintaining a wind quintet is a real challenge. If you have the good fortune to find the right people, don't give them up, and be willing to make sacrifices and compromises. Well worth it in the long run!
