You are quite right ..... I have great facility and ease on my Marigaux 901 and a long scrape reed. The High notes sing easier and freely - G-d forbid if I bite!!!

All the notes sing beautifully - although the Eb on the Marigaux is a little bit resistant - I use an alternate fingering that works pretty well.

I can even put out a High "A" (with difficulty and the right reed) all the notes up to a G are excellent with good color and tone and intonation and the G# is pretty good too.
