I have tried the Mack, and it's an absolutely wonderful tip. Good luck on getting your hands on one though, they're hard to find and pricey.
You're looking for something narrower so your sides will be tighter? In my experience it's the other way around...with a wider tip the sides are pressed more tightly together but maybe we're talking about two different things...IMHO it's always better to go wider because if you really want a narrower reed you can always tie it longer, but with a short tip you may end up with very little excess to scrape before the tip is finished (which is really annoying, at least to me) if you want to get a wider shape.
